The Rio Real golf course was designed by the legendary Javiar. Arara, considered to be the best Spanish designer of all time. Located in the most prestigious area of Marbella, just 5 minutes from the town centre, this course opened in 1965. The golf course runs alongside the Rio Real river which forms an integral part of the course. Rio Real is an extremely attractive golf course characterised by narrow fairways, mature trees and some intriguing bunkers that, at times, intertwine with the trees in the rough.

LOS NARANJOS

Played host to the Spanish PGA Championship in 1989 when Jose Rivero had the audacity to beat Seve Ballasteros in a playoff. It is to a degree a course of two halves with raised greens the order of the day on the front nine and the back nine playing over mostly flat terrain all in the valley of the Sierra Blanca mountain range and its highest peak, the distinctive La Concha. It is situated just a few miles from both Marbella and Puerto Banus with their abundance of night life, restaurants, bars etc.
