Day Three

Old Portmarnock voted Ireland’s best links course. Portmarnock hosted our Irish Open for many years. Winners include Ben Crenshaw, Bernard Langer, Seve Ballesteros, Ian Woosnam, Jose Maria Olazabal, the list goes on. The course is a only a five-minute drive from your hotel and it is true to test for any handicap,  Get there early and take advantage of the excellent practice facilities it is a worthwhile exercise before taking on the links. Many of the greatest golfers have stopped of ta  Portmarnock on their way to the Open, Tiger Woods, Tom Watson, Mark O Meara, and many more. Portmarnock has hosted the Walker Cup, Canada Cup (World Cup) with competitors Arnold Plamer and Same Snead complementing Portmarnck hugely

O’Connor won over 20  Irish and UK tournaments and finished in the top 10 in the Open Championship on 10 occasions. Royal Dublin is your traditional old links course with 9 holes out normally into the wind 9 holes back with the wind on your back, the 18th hole is a great finishing hole, take on the carry over the out of bounds and if manage the carry it will make your day out even more special

Day Five

At leisure to visit our capital city Dublin just a half-hour away. There are frequent train and bus services from the village.

Day Six

A short 45 min transfer to Baltray Golf. Who can forget Shane Lowry’s unforgettable Irish Open win there as an Amateur and some years later in 2019  his great with at the Open in Royal Portrush, Baltray is one of those hidden gems with some excellent par 4s and difficult par3s, all holes go in different directions so depending on where the wind is blowing from will make this visit a memorable one. Paul Mc Ginley past Ryder Cup captain ranks Blatry as on the best links course in Ireland, we would certainly agree with him. If you have the time to stay at try some of the spectacular seafood on offer at the restaurant in the clubhouse, enjoy!

Day Seven

Golf optional but we recommend you play The Island Golf. Situated across the bay it is another top-class golf links and again in our mind a hidden gem, it has had some upgrades recently and I must say it has made the Island even more challenging than it was. This is a favourite with lots of visitors from mainland Europe and is heading for greater accolades.

Day Eight

Your return transfer to Dublin Airport.
